It is not about what you see but what you observe when you let go. FOMO in Paris is impossible. Like you said 0.1%! As a 20something I was once in the Louvre and could walk up to the Mona Lisa unhindered. I took a picture (Kodak film) and it was great. It has never occurred to me to take a picture with me in it. Now, you’d be lucky to get in the room where the painting is let alone take a “happy picture”. I walk a lot of big cities in Europe alone (my family goes shopping) and the amount of request I get from singles wanting to have a picture where they ‘look happy’ is staggering. There is a law in NL in the making. No social media before 14. Good idea. Impossible to implement.
